A room-scale VR-MoCap environment, this project sought to create an immersive, reactive expreience with entirely abstract colors and forms. The Motion Capture studio at NYU-MAGNET serves to send positional data from the hands and the Oculus headset itself to the platform, to position and rotate the user's VR body. The video was however captured using stand-in hand and head positions (not a real user) so the environmental features are more smoothly reactive than in real-time, where a raised or lowered hand corresponds to a variety of changing effects.
